Appleton is looking for talented, passionate songwriters/musicians who are comfortable working and collaborating with adults to write personal lullabies. Originally established by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, the Lullaby Project pairs parents with musicians to write personal songs for their child. For this project, musicians will make four weekly trips to Harbor House Domestic Abuse Shelter to work one-on-one with a mother, guiding them through the writing process from lyrics to music. Volunteers must be available for all sessions 2/15, 2/22, 2/29, and 3/7 from 10am - 12:30pm, as well as a required orientation with Harbor House on 2/8 from 10am - 12pm. Songwriters will receive a stipend to support their efforts and work. 9:45 am pick up by service shuttle.
