Children of America, a daytime daycare for ages six weeks to five years old, is looking for volunteers to make their week long celebration of early education extra special. They are specifically hoping volunteers join them on two specific days. On Monday, April 24th, they are having "Music Monday." They want students to bring in their musical instrument and talent to provide special entertainment for the kids. Thursday, April 27th is "Artsy Thursday." On this day, they hope that volunteers can come in to help kids with an art project. This is a rather flexible opportunity, and volunteers have the ability to pitch ideas of unique ways they can interact with the kids. They also are fairly flexible with the time for volunteers to come in. Ideally, volunteers would come in sometime in the morning (around 10), though any time during their hours of operation (6am-6:30pm) could work with notice.*
If you are interested in volunteering, have any questions, or have specific ideas to propose, please contact Elizabeth Lawson, the assistant director, at 920-380-0554.
*Kids have lunch at 11:30 and nap time at 2:30, so volunteers would have to work around that.
