Description
Family Interaction Volunteers are needed to supervise visits between foster children and their parents. This opportunity allows for the children to safely visit and rebuild a relationship with their parents. The volunteer's schedule is flexible and determined by the hours they want to work. Volunteers would be expected to intervene and redirect inappropriate behavior or language during visits, maintain strict confidentiality, communicate with the assigned social worker and complete paperwork in a timely fashion. The families assigned to a volunteer have been screened and have been determined appropriate to be supervised by a volunteer. Training is provided upon assignment to a family.

Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and insurance, be dependable, patient and flexible, be sensitive to the client served, and have the ability to be objective and nonjudgmental.
