Description

Friday - assist with event set-up and/or assistance for at least four hours (8 AM – evening), and you're invited to join us for our GROUNDSWELL pre-convention event that afternoon featuring Paul Cienfuegos of Community Rights US in an empowering session about protecting the rights of people and nature from the local up. This year we will highlight how we can organize to reclaim power and protect what matters most to all of us: clean air and water, safe food, renewable energy, living wages, and the right to thrive.

Saturday – assist with convention needs (staffing registration desk, youth & child care activities, etc.) for at least 4 hours (between 8:45 AM and 5 PM) and you’re invited to join us for workshops, panels or our evening banquet and keynote (schedule-dependent). Keynote speaker Eric Holt-Giménez, author and executive director of Food First, grew up milking cows and pitching hay in Point Reyes, California.  He’ll share how farmers and consumers can transform our food system to restore justice to American agriculture.

Sunday – assist with convention needs (staffing registration desk, youth & child care activities, etc.) for at least 4 hours (between 7:00 AM and 2 PM) and you’re invited to join us for food and land-related film screenings, policy discussion, or lunch (schedule-dependent).
