Gracie and I communicate often via Facebook Messenger Kids by sending each other videos, pictures, voice recordings, and emojis to stay in touch. :)

It was wonderful to talk with my buddy again after almost a year! I am happy to see that she is doing well and that we are back in touch now.

As a goodbye present for spring break (... and corona), I made Gracie a construction paper crown that says "Queen of Math!". This is a direct quote from Gracie, and I decided to make it for her to boost her optimism for her math tutoring, which can be difficult for her (academically and focus/attitude-wise). She LOVED it and said she is gonna try to wear it 24/7! :) I will miss her and all at Edison dearly for the next 6 months, but will maintain consistent correspondence with Gracie and her teachers until September.

Lots of fun with Gracie, and good info from her teacher so I know how to be the best LARY buddy I can be for my kiddo :)

It was too muddy to play in the field or the playground, so we ended up playing tag on the blacktop! Had a big group of kiddos, lots of fun :)

Reconnected after a tricky session last week. A great day!

Today was rough -- buddy was hurt another kiddo's feelings during recess since she would not play the game he wanted to, and therefore he felt excluded because it was either Gracie's way or the highway. She and her teacher and I talked through it afterwards and put some skills in place. Definitely a work in progress!

Got to start social skills session with Gracie today for the first time since October! I am glad she has these resources, although she can be reluctant to learn about and use them. She has also bumped up a level in her math tutoring with her teacher!
